i had so many green tomatoes in the garden that they could not all be saved for fried green tomatoes - even though i looooove those.
i separated the tiny tomatoes from the rest and decided to do a chutney.
it will be ideal for shepherd's pie and meat pies.
i put in:
1 whole vidalia onion
1/3 cup sultana raisins
1/3 cup golden raisins
1 1/2 cups apple cider
1 whole hot pepper (a real cutie shaped just like a tomato)
and it came out like this: gooey and delicious.
